In its three decades of existence has housed dierse artistic manisfestations: theater, visuai arts, msic and dance. The virtues of the street were reproduced in the internal circulation of the building, creating a new model in the architectural design of public space in Brazil. As part of the celebrations for the 30 years of the CCSP, the Municipal Secretary of Culture and Editoral Monolito released a fine edition dedicated to the Cultural Center of Sao Paulo, written by journalist and architectural critic Ferdinand Serapion. Throughout the chapters that comprise the work, Serapion narrates the history and fragments of living memory of the institution, from its origin to the present day. In addition to pictures and drawings, the book presents three photographic tests carried out by Cristiano Mascaro, Mauro Restiffe and Nelson Kon. The work required nearly 40 interviews with the participants of the architectural project, employees and former employees who have made possible or are part of the history of space. Includes a presentation text by CCSP's current and former Municipal Secretary of culture, Carlos Augusto Calil.
