Sinopse: In the immediate future, a giant meteorite has collided with earth. All living organisms, including mankind, have been wiped off the face of the planet. The government, who had foreseen this outcome, took measures to counter the worst-case scenario. In particular was Project “7 SEEDS”, in which five sets of seven gifted young men and women were carefully selected and placed into teams (Spring, Summer A, Summer B, Autumn and Winter). Each participant was then put under cryogenic sleep in hopes of preserving the continued existence of mankind. As they struggled for survival, they went through many partings from, and some reunions with, their friends. Hana, who's been swept away in a rapid stream nd miraculously survived, met Fujiko and Chisa again. Aramaki and Ayu, who'd set out on a journey to search or Hana, also joined the group. When they were caught in a fire, a lot of the dogs which accompanied Aramaki died. While fleeing, they ran across Tsunomata and Hibari. Because of Hibari's demand and Hana's recollection, the seven of them decided to head for Sado Island. Ango and Ryo, who'd been banished from the collective village, joined Team Summer B. Even though the two of them considered Hana's survival unlikely, optimistic Arashi nd crew set a course for said village to learn news about Hana. The mixture of teams fled from the forest fire. Under Mozu's guidance, they reached a mysterious island. But in the night, thirteen of them were led off by hallucinations and imagined voices, and they vanished. Nijiko, who was left behind on her own, started exploring he island...
