Sinopse: In the immediate future, a giant meteorite has collided with earth. All living organisms, including mankind, have been wiped off the face of the planet. The government, who had foreseen this outcome, took measures to counter the worst-case scenario. In particular was Project “7 SEEDS”, in which five sets of seven gifted young men and women were carefully selected and placed into teams (Spring, Summer A, Summer B, Autumn and Winter). Each participant was then put under cryogenic sleep in hopes of preserving the continued existence of mankind. As they struggled for survival, they went through many partings from, and some reunions with, their friends. Hana, who's been swept away in a rapid stream nd miraculously survived, met Fujiko and Chisa again. Aramaki and Ayu, who'd set out on a journey to search or Hana, also joined the group. After Hana and the others escaped from a forest fire which was caused by lightning, they ran into Tsunomata and Hibari. Meanwhile, the mixture of teams, who'd also fled from the fire, took shelter on a small island. Soon afterward, the people from Team Summer B landed on that island. too. It was called "Kagijima", and it was connected to the shelter on Sado island. But they were scattered underground, which had been turned into a nest with a crisscross of channels by huge ants, and each of them met with their own perils. At the same time, Hana and crew, who'd crossed over to Sado island, Hibari's home, started exploring the island, which shape had changed completely.
