Sinopse: Located in the Serra do Caraça (State of Minas Gerais), Catas Altas do Mato Dentro is one of the municipalities that integrate the Gold Circuit, which makes the city, besides an important historical and cultural site, with buildings of tent architecture of the eighteenth century, an interesting tourist destination. With poems and drawings by the artist and author Fatima Pinto Coelho, the book brings together photographs that recover the physical and human landscape of Catas Altas, translating the intimate and bucolic atmosphere of the place and its residents and recording the changes that occurred in the city's scenery over time. "The poems of the first part of this book were presented inside an installation in the XI Bienal Internacional de São Paulo, in 1977. The "Equipe de Serra" (Mounrain team), formed by friends Thais Helt, Allen Roscoe da Cunha (expography) and myself (text and photographic script), presented the work "Cartas Atlas de Matto Dentro - Minas Geraes", a dialogue around one of the themes proposed by the Board of Trustees: the recovery of the landscape."
