This volume begins with a flashback to the childhood of Sister Rosette and how she and her brother Joshua met the demon Chrno. Joshua, blessed with the gift of healing, joins the Magdalan order. A demon named Aion tempts Chrno with the gift of a horn which will give him back his demonic power. Chrno refuses, and the horn is given to Joshua-who begins to grow more and more demonic! This prompts Rosette to make her contact with Chrno so that Chrno will have enough power to fight Aion and possibly save Joshua. Back in the present, a demon possesses the angel Azmaria. Getting rid of the possession forces her to summon so much power that her wings come back. v.3 (180 p.): Sister Rosette and company are about to embark on a mission to find Rosette's long-lost brother, who was last seen sporting the horns of a demon. But their journey might end before they leave the bright lights of the city. A powerful witch who threatens the gun-toting Sister is on a search of her own, and she is thirsty for revenge. A good ol' exorcism won't stop the wicked woman, nor will it rid this evil-crushing team of the sneaky spider-woman called the Puppet Master. The Magdalan Order's finest put their demon-slaying talents aside, only to be confronted head-on with the chilling face of devilry! v.4 (172 p.): It's America in the roaring '20s, and gun-toting exorcist Sister Rosette Christopher is off to Chicago to kick some demon butt! But her demon sidekick, Chrono, is keeping a secret that could cost them their lives. Funny, action-packed, and beautifully drawn, the fourth volume of Chrono Crusade is a great addition to the hit manga series! v.5 (180 p.): The toughest nun of New York City has finally found her brother, but their reunion is anything but happy. He's under the sway of the demon Aion, who seeks vengeance upon his old buddy Chrono. In his true demon form, Chrono is up to the evil-stomping action, but our nun with the gun is left too weak to even pull the trigger. Rosette will have to call for a miracle - or at least some back-up!
