Exit Sherlock Holmes: The Great Detective

Título: Exit Sherlock Holmes: The Great Detective's Final Days

Autor: Robert Lee Hall

Sinopse: October 1903. Moriarty is back in London - he too survived the Reichen- bach Falls. Holmes decides to go to ground, leaving Watson like so much bait to draw the quarry. It's not long before 221b Baker Street witnesses a revelation and confrontation to match anything in its past. But this is only the first in a series of blows to be dealt to Watson's (and our) view of Holmes the man and his world. Until now we have known only the skimpiest details of Holmes' early life and then only what he himself, a fiercely secretive man, chose to reveal. Where did he acquire his many skills as an actor, violinist, fencer, scientist, and detective? Why did he tell Watson so little about his brother Mycroft? And what was the actual relationship between Holmes and his archfoe Moriarty? We accompany Watson round the old haunts, as he tries to find a way through the mysteries and enigmas which rise to envelop him as effectively as the yellow fogs of Edwardian London. Even as he pursues the Holmes brothers, he knows himself to be the target of Moriarty. Aided only by one Baker Street Irregular, can Watson ever pin down the true identities of Holmes and Moriarty and the true meaning of their lifelong duel?
