It shows Lina by Lina without fads, folklore or mystification, becoming the primary source of research and appreciation of her work. ‘With new imaging technology, the 4th reissue reproduces the contents of previous editions, preserving the writing and visual identity of the work,' says Victor Nosek, graphic designer for the first edition of the book, which developed a new cover for Publication. The current cover, photographed by Nelson Kon, reveals a detail of the vertical garden designed by Lina for the Palace of Industries, headquarters of the city of São Paulo, in 1990. According to Sonia Guardhouse do Amaral, chairman of the board of the Bardi Institute/Glass House, the reprint was made possible through the law Rouanet/MINC with the sponsorship of the official press of the state-secretariat of Culture and the support of EDP. The release marks, in addition to the 25 years of the work, the change of name of the institution, founded by Bardi in 1990 with the name Quadrant. ‘In 1993, a year after the death of the architect, and as last tribute to the woman with whom he lived for 46 years, Pietro Maria Bardi, brings together the cultural legacy of the couple in the new name: Instituto Lina Bo and P. M. Bardi,' adds Sonia Sentry.
