Sinopse: The photobook contains, for the first time in a book, the most recent work of Rogério Reis (Rio de Janeiro, 1954), one of the most outstanding Brazilian photographers nationally and abroad. Contains a summary of his vision of Rio de Janeiro. City in which he has lived and portrayed for over 40 years. All in black and white, the book brings at its center a re-edition of his series Na Lona, in which Rogério documented the anonymous carnival of the Rio suburbs, and surrounded by other images that situate carnival within the geography and issues of the city. The book features a long interview by the author with the editor of the book, the photographer from São Paulo, João Farkas; with artist and teacher from Pará, Mayra Rodrigues; with noted photographer from São Paulo Edu Simões; with journalist and teacher from Rio de Janeiro Rosental Alves; with fluminense historian, Ana Mauad, and with the historian from Rio de Janeiro, Maurício Lissovsky, a stellar cast of the production and thought of art, photographic image and Brazilian social history. The book was edited by João Farkas and its design was done by Kiko Farkas.
